It doesn't look like a forklift but like a skid loader (and it may be a Bobcat brand but I can't tell). The electric innards are interesting. How much can it lift? This looks like a 753 or 763 class and the diesel version should be able to lift about 2000lbs.

Also, diesel locomotives are actually electric trains. The diesel drives a generator which supplies power to the wheels. I'm asserting this should be the practice, even for automobiles. Looking for venture capital. My first would be a commuter car powered by a 3-cyl diesel which in turn generates electricity to direct drive DC motors at the wheels.
