Hit and Run on Momma D's car......
So me and a friend went out to dinner tonight and I come back out and discover that someone hit Momma D's car (300C SRT8). Not serious, but bad enough. The front bumper cover and fender on the drivers side is scuffed pretty good and it has a bit of white paint transfer. No dent and no lights broken.
No note, nobody came in to the restaurant to ask for the cars owner. Nothing. The fender can probably be buffed out, but the bumper cover is urethane and will probably need to be replaced. This is after paying over $500 this week for scheduled maintenance for it Calling the insurance company in the morning and then swinging by the Caddy dealership. The red CTS-V is supposed to be here and I may just trade it in. If I ever figure out who did this............................

sorry to hear DS and can sympathize....my truck got hit a few weeks back while in home depot. put a nice size dent just rear of the driver door..didnt break paint or scratch as they hit the guard plate, but a sizable dent nonethless...

 Time to start squeezing out some info rom the locals. Hope JD has the truck cranked up and ready to go.  Maybe Boston Mike can get some target practice in.   .

That is infuriating to say the least. Someone did the same to my wife's car while she was in grocery shopping. The car was only a few months old when it happened and when she took it to a body shop for an estimate the damage (although seemingly minor) was $1,200 to get it fixed because the panels that would have needed to be painted/replaced.
Luckily it turned out that the owner of the shope recognized my wife as his daughter's English teacher and he touched it up for free and as its now barely noticeable we haven't gotten around to having it completely repaired yet. I just can't get my head around how someone could do that and just walk away and say nothing. Sadly as a few have said the general belief today seems to be if I can get away with it its ok. If someone did this to my car I would not be responsible for my actions thereafter.

Same thing happened to Debbie's car a few weeks ago. Tore up the body side moldings and left some white paint on the door, but it can be buffed out. The BSMs can be replaced. Could have been worse.
Looks like the Mafia is gonna be busy...
