Terry and I arrived at the Hermann Motel and upon entering our room realized it was a smoking room. Neither of us can handle the smoke, and Terry gets very ill when exposed to it.

Without going into all the details, let me just say a big THANKS to Kyle for helping us find another room...we were very happy with how things ended up. In the midst of everything else Kyle was doing, he took time out to help us specifically...we owe him a bow for that.

Now on to the funny part.

The room we ended up getting was on the top floor of the Wine Valley Inn. It was perfectly located, right on the street where the show was held. The room was actually and apartment on a "residential" floor where family stayed, but the Inn owner Sonia was nice enough to jump through hoops so that we could stay there. The room was not really meant to be rented that weekend...as it had recently been renovated. There was no furniture, no beds, no shower curtain etc.

In the course of about 90 minutes they had a shower curtain up, towels out, and two air mattresses aired up with sheets, pillows, etc...everything we needed...and they gave us a rock bottom price as well since it was not fully furnished. We were just thankful to have a place that would not make us feel miserable due to heavy smoke.

For the entire weekend, both Sonia and the person who set up the room lovingly called us the "campers" since we were essentially sleeping on the floor. We had good fun with them. I could not believe the excellent treatment they gave us...they even provided us with a welcoming back which contained a bottle of wine and two wine glasses!

I highly recommend this place...I know Kyle will be publishing more details about this later so I won't steal his thunder.

The whole thing turned out wonderfully for us....thank you again Kyle. We will send Sonia a mail "thank you" soon and include a small gift for her Inn.

How do ya think they inflated the air matress ? The doll comes with an air reserve....for times like this when a friend needs air for the matress.
