I also got the gauge cluster but forgot to take pics of it. It's pretty nice "feedback" but I catch myself looking over to see just how much boost is on. It looks like the stock is 7-8lbs.

Got a chance to wind it up. Holy Oleo Batman! It ain't even the same car! I'm gonna need some new tires pretty soon. Three of us "big guys" (all 240+ lbs each of us) - two in the front and one in the back - went for a spin this afternoon, and it lit the tires without even breathing hard!

When I was in College (34 years ago) my professor said that things like this should be monochromatic (Black and White). For "a thing" it is pretty cool. So, here it is:

Looking good Tony. I know you waited a long time for that. Do I undserstand that the "show car" may be in for an upgrade as well?

Quite possibly. It "awakens the beast within". And it's pretty too. Much sexier than that plastic plenum.

Probably need to get a spare belt some time though.

Are you kidding? There can be no photographic evidence of breaking the law. Honest officer, I don't know how that rubber got on the street.

I did two demos yesterday. I was 1/4 mile away before the people behind me got through the intersection. At no time did I ever exceed the speed limit. This is a 0-60 beast.

I had to do some detailing to get 1600 miles of road grime off, and switch the cars around in the garage. So I lifted the hood on both cars and did the A-B comparison. Wow, they moved lots of stuff. Pictures later today.

I don't have to work too hard to get it to spin. It won't do it from a standing start without locking the front brakes just a little. Barely on the pedal, stomp on the acc and heat and noise follow.

There is a private property (cement plant) where we've done it in the past, but the have a grooved concrete surface that is like using a piece of 0 grit sandpaper on the tires. New asphalt is easier to get a spin.

I won't be doing this much more - don't need to buy a set of tires with only 3000 miles.

Don't have a video camera. Maybe my cell phone camera though. Next weekend maybe. Too much to do today as I'm leaving for Portland tomorrow.

So yesterday I was cleaning the car after the long trip and decided to to the other one too. I opened the hood on both and got some before and after pictures of what the KB installation moves around.

First, they lower the fuse box, move the wiring harness connector and get the oil filler port out of the way of the cold air intake feeder tube:

The old CAI is removed (take off parts) and the KB intercooler tank added to the front.

Next the fuel rails are changed. The old injectors seemed to be on some kind of risers. The new ones are very close to the top of the engine.

The max boost is 7-8PSI. Sometimes I wish they'd scale these gauges a little differently.

And finally the signatures on the air bag cover.

These cars came with an autographed photograph of Carroll Shelby, Craig Jackson and Steve Davis (from Barrett Jackson) and Amy Boylan (SAI). So I sent the airbag covers around and got all of them to sign too:

A little nail polish remover should take care of that unsightly AmyB chicken-scratch.

WD40 is the approved solvent for the paint market they used. Carroll signed first, and when I got it back I couldn't figure out what marker they used so I called the Children's Foundation and asked what it was. "Oh, it'll be easier if we just send you one". So I have a marker that CS used to sign stuff too...

On the way to Barrett Jackson the marker tip came off and some ink leaked. The manufacturer (Pilot) help line said "WD40 but it might leave an oily residue." I cleaned the spill with WD40 wiped the area with denatured alcohol and the spot was not even visible.
