Lots of people with the 3v's paint their valve covers, and they hold up to the heat. Where as this is not a paint, it is treated similarly. I made sure to specifically ask about heat being a factor on these and was told that they will withstand the heat. They also carry a lifetime warranty so if for some reason the heat did affect them in anyway, they'll be fixed. I've seen blowers done like this and engine covers.
