If you would like to learn more about the Powder Coating process. I have written a couple of books called " Powder Coat Secrets" and "Powder Coat Basics"
The ebooks are available as a download through a link off of my website POWDER COAT SECRETS . I was in the industry for .... too many years and did a lot of testing and developement work during this time. If you have any basic questions. I would be happy to inform the members also and provide a headsup.

Just wondering...
The size of the oven, or furnace, where the baking occurs is what limits the size of the piece that can be powder coated, right? Worded another way, if the furnace were big enough, then there is no real size limit to what can be powder coated. |

Sample of a large industrial oven: ![]() DTI-971 Double Tier Pre Heating Conveying Oven This industrial oven pre heats carpet products and padding simultaneously for the automotive industry. This industrial oven was provided with a pick and place system to load the products onto the oven conveyors. Pad product is conveyed through the upper level of the oven and heated by forced air convection. Carpet product is conveyed through the lower level of the oven and heated by infrared panels. The infrared panels are arranged in individual zones of control to allow for variations of heating across the entire surface of the carpet. After the preheating process is complete, both the pad and carpet exit the two levels of the oven simultaneously. They are then matched together to form a preheated vehicle set ready to be press formed as a single unit. The cycle times can be varied and can be as short as 30 seconds. Automotive Supplier Advantages Automated processing from precut blanks of material to preheated vehicle set ready to press Part to part cycle times as short as 30 seconds in this application System includes capability to meet variable color and quantity requirements of the manufacturer The system also includes the capability to produce product for both coupe and sedan models in three different colors in any sequence simultaneously Automotive System Features Upper convection oven section is heated by gas and the lower infra red section is electrically heated PLC controlled with operator touch screen (HMI) All motion functions controlled by servo for accuracy and speed Updating . . .
