I got the 14" version from American Muscle last year for Christmas. The length is just right IMO - no loss in FM reception either. I removed it temporarily a few weeks ago and noticed some white corrosion forming on the mounting threads so I applied some anti-seize on the threads before re-installing to ward off any corrosion in the future.

The Stock one, is just another cheap item from the Ford Parts bin, our cars should have had a power antenna, but instead we got the 10 footer... I changed mine to a 12" Black aluminum one and have had no issues with radio reception on my Navigation Based Stereo System.

I cut my stock down and pulled ball off and glued it on. Also thanks again for bouncing lady now I have to and beg wife for some lovin.

One more note - I used copper anti-seize not only because that's all I had available in my garage, but it also offers good electrical conductivity for the antenna.

Got mine on ebay for $6.00 it is 8 inches and works like factory, metal powder coated black

Okay, so trying to install my new shorty antenna.......took the stock off, but can't get the screw out of it (I've tried everything I know). Anyone have some tips or can advise where I can get a replacement one??

didnt the new one come with the screw? mine from american muscle had 2 or 3 different screws for it...

I was told you always have a screw loose.
