Why did you choose [insert Shelby color]?

Just curious why everyone chose the color Shelby they did.
My Shelby is Ebony with alloy rocker stripes and blk/blk interior. So to answer the question:
I chose Black because the dealer called and in true Black Vert Mafia style they "made me an offer I couldn't refuse!" Now that I have I couldn't imagine any other color because I really like the sinister, stealthy look.

So how about you?

I had been looking for a black GT for a long time. I had the 2004 Comp Orange Mach1, the 2006 Redfire GT, and when this GT500 was refused by the person who ordered it, I jumped and have not regretted the decision since!

I had a black Mercedes E320. I loved the color. Maintenance (cleaning) was a PITA but I've been doing the "wash the cars on the weekend" for a long time. I like cleaning them (all of them), and spent two weekends in a row cleaning/claybarring/polishing the other two vehicles (a Dodge 1500 PU and a Jeep Grand Cherokee). I like that kind of stuff - at the end of the project there is something that you can see instead of a pile of paper or some drive code.

The baddest Ford ever produced, no question for me, had to be red.

Although when at first they mentioned Valencia, I thought it would be a cool looking yellow, but turned into Orange, not that bad but just wasn't me.

I cleaned mine and took it for a ride this afternoon after getting the HD radio disaster fixed (more later). I have a showing tomorrow at 11:30 so if the weather is nice I'm going to go up to Estes Park and back down Big Thompson Canyon. I love how the exhaust echos off the canyon walls.

When the Shelby GT was first announced, the Performance White model really caught my eye and I fell in love with it at first sight. I also preferred the polished bullit wheels that came on it. I like black cars too, but they are a pain to keep clean...and I feel this way because I've had two in the past (an RX-7 and an M3)...plus, I have a big, black '06 Expedition now also, so the thought of trying to keep two of them clean firmed up that decision. Oh, and also the only dealer who was reasonable on the price at that time had...a white car. To top it all off, Performance White is the fastest color (hence the word "Performance").

White, because it is CLASSIC Shelby. And black isn't a color, it is a lack of color (scientifically speaking).

gotta try some of the dri wash ion wash. It cuts down on all of the above. Does not eliminate any but cuts a lot of it down.

Well, owning a SGT, and a 2008 at that, the color choice was made by SAI (if you leave off the CA-GO cars and the BJ cars. Luckily, I like Vista Blue anyway.
