ICE Detailer

Saw it in the store today. ICE Liquid Detailer. Anyone use it? Impressions? Pro's / Con's?

I used it quite a bit. Works on paint and the plastic....no residue. Even with Dri Wash, I always keep some Ice Detailer on hand.

I'm addicted to ICE.

I use the DriWash when the car is only dusty/lightly dirty after a drive.

I've only washed the car with water twice this year - both times because it was REAL dirty with bugs etc.

I use the ICE liquid wax to protect (although the DriWash kinda does the same thing).

I bought the ICE detailer before the last show - and it works great too. Took off the dew spots (show started early) and left a very nice shine.

I like the ice on the plastic and rubber hoses etc. I didn't like it as well on the paint as the meguires (SP) wax but it doesn't leave any white residue so it is very easy to use and does a nice job. My new detailer said I should throw it in the trash and stick to the other stuff I had. He uses Zaino and some other stuff I don't know about but he is a paint specialist and is anti ice for one reason or another.....maybe because it['s easy and people woundn't need him but I don't think so.

Been leaning towards Zaino as well.

I use ICE products. My ritual is:

Ice car wash in a bucket with a microfiber towel as the wash mit (I've decommissioned the washmit).

Then I rinse and dry with the microfiber towel.

My black Shelby usually gets some drying streaks because of the black paint in daylight (forget sun - the paint warms up and leaves towel streaks).

Then I use the Ice detailer spray and wipe it down with another (dry) microfiber towel.

It looks beautiful after that.

This is all in keeping with black paint being an obsessive compulsive disorder satisfier. Sorry, works for me.

One more tidbit. Checker is being sold and will be rebranded. My best friend from Vegas is a CheckerMart (his words) store manager and called me a couple of nights ago asking if I wanted some Ice products. What is happening is that the Checker stores are dumping anything that isn't carried by the new mothership for cheap, and the Ice products are on the list. I'm getting detailer and car wash. I didn't care much for the liquid clay bar stuff (a real clay bar is 1000 times better) and I prefer the paste wax/polish over the liquid polish.

I use Ice also. It's the best that I've used so far for a quick and easy detail. You can use it on just about everything without leaving a white residue.
