Yes. I miss it alot. I rebuilt the engine with a big cam excetra. That car was a lot of fun.

We had a '67 Country Sedan station wagon with a 2bbl 390. The auto-choke didn't work in cold temperatures - it would flood without starting so you had to remove the air cleaner and manually hold the butterfly open. It was very sensitive to having the right jets if you were at altitude but other than those quirks it was bulletproof - I learned to drive in it. You will have to replace the A-arm bushings; a-lot if they haven't improved the rubber formulation. The 4bbl was a big improvement.

If you get it, make sure you replace the oil pressure sending unit. They had a bad habit of springing a leak.

My dad was not amused that we had to replace the brake bads two months after I got my license.....

Your right about the A-arm bushings. Changed mine twice.

Fast. My dad said "Drive your own car son"

That was a killer cop car, manual steering kind of sucked though.

I was just loping along at 85 in the '68 up near the Canadian border on the NYS Thruway for a good hour (pre-radar days) when this dark-spot in the rearview rapidly enlarged. State Police! I was heading up to Montreal and was sure I was going to get a speedo, but just had to ask him if it was a 428PI (which it was; C6 auto), so he popped the hood and asked me to also (390 4-bbl). Got a ticket for a bad brake light (and told me it would be dropped if you send bulb receipt postmarked w/in 24 hours ;-)). Glad I asked him! Man, they were pretty quick.
