Default Just what we need!! Heavier Cars!!!
The Govt. cracks me up sometimes...well, most of the time...anyway, here they now want new regs to make roofs stronger, which of course will add more cost and weight. At the same time, they want cars to be more fuel efficient. Maybe they should coordinate better????

I think it is political pandering. One group of voters wants more fuel efficient regulations. Another group wants safer cars. The politicians just say "yes" to everyone - except those that want to drill for oil here.
