The GT badging is a bit of a challenge because the GT emblems fit in a recessed hole. So when you remove them you still have a big recessed spot that must be filled. I am working on a solution for that right now.

I already have the strip kit designed and could probably sell that as a kit but nothing with Shelby on it or the Cobras as those are trademarked emblems. However, if you knew of a good sign shop or someone with the tools to make them I guess you could contract out to have one custom made based on your specs though.

OK guys time for round two...

As a refresher here is what the vehicle looked like before I started working on it...



And here is the current view... Still have to finish up the grill and fender emblems. Paint a few more things and put on a few more decals. Mainly odds and ends for round 1 of mods. Next I will start working on the electrical, but I wanted to get it back together so the kids can enjoy it for a while.

Everything I send the kiddo gets sent through my brother. No way around it. Though, I might do this for when he visits in Dec. And ship it home to him when he leaves.

It sure would be cute to have during Christmas and have it pulling a matching sleigh full of wrapped presents to match all the Shelby car colors and stripes. Yes there is quite a bit of time in it. Since I got it used I had to completely disassemble it and wash each piece by hand. The main body was too big for the sink so I did it in the shower! I sanded down all the prior road rash as best I could and then used scotchbright pads to scuff up all the pieces so the paint would hold.

The axles had a push pin retainer holding the tires on them which are one time use, so I drilled holes in all the locations to accept cotter pins so now tire removal is a breeze.

I still have to finish the grill and badging. I also will put a custom cobra decal under the hood and some other odds and ends to customize the appearance. Then it is time to upgrade the stereo and do some power mods

Only one small mod today. Got tired of the plastic tail pipes so I covered them with some aluminum tape and made new black decals for the center. Now they are shiny!
