Apparently my receptionist was unaware as well Master Chief. Just after mail pickup today I realized she had sent out nearly 100 reminder postcards with only 27 cents in postage. This meant for lack of about a dollar in postage I would have nearly $27 worth of stamps canceled and sent back for being insufficient. Not a huge deal but the kind of thing that adds up when your trying to make a small business profitable in our current economic and political climate. Fortunately we a have a great relationship with our carrier, the supervisor at the local Post Office called her while on route and she agreed to separate them out and let us add the extra postage. Very cool. Next time postage goes up I will have to leave a VERY large notice at the front desk. And our carrier is definitely getting a little bit extra in her annual gift card this Christmas.
