1TB harddrive problems from lightning
The 1TB harddrive died, We got hit my lightning a few months back and I have been having problems ever since I finally tried to do a reinstall thinking it was an App ,or program (or even music mp3 causing problems, It turns out even running disc permissions wasn't catching the problem(lightning, I guess does some pretty crazy things to computers,
Anyway I will not be doing pictures till everything is straightened out with the newer computer.....But I will be checking in ;) Unless I install PhotoShop on here again, then ChopChop,that could happen if I get the DT's bad enough LOL I bought it because I was under the impression it was built in USA, turns out it was built in China................That's another story,I'm pissed off!

Was there a surge protector in between the wall plug & the computer? Sometimes they have coverage for any part that gets fried.

Good luck.
We had a neighbor whose tree got struck by lightning. It jumped to the cable in the cable box & preceded to fry anything in it's conductive path in their house. Not to mention the cable junction box for our street. `
