Default The Great Escape, the real story
Many have seen the movie The Great Escape, and while it seemed like fiction, the story it was based on was real.

One of the last survivors, Eric Dowling, passed away at the age of 92.

The movie made composite characters, but Dowling said that Donald Pleasance's "The Forger" was the closest to his real life adventure.

Remember, we are losing over 1000 of these heroes per day. And don't forget that means we are losing that many Survivors of the Holocaust too. Don't forget those who died and what they died for.
