Happy Fathers Day!

I would like wish all the dads out there a Happy Fathers Day!!!! ( I know Im alittle early)



Fathers are wonderful people
Too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises
As often as we should...

For, somehow, Father seems to be
The man who pays the bills,
While Mother binds up little hurts
And nurses all our ills...

And Father struggles daily
To live up to "HIS IMAGE"
As protector and provider
And "hero or the scrimmage"...

And perhaps that is the reason
We sometimes get the notion,
That Fathers are not subject
To the thing we call emotion,

But if you look inside Dad's heart,
Where no one else can see
You'll find he's sentimental
And as "soft" as he can be...

But he's so busy every day
In the grueling race of life,
He leaves the sentimental stuff
To his partner and his wife...

But Fathers are just WONDERFUL
In a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments
And accolade of praise,

For the only reason Dad aspires
To fortune and success
Is to make the family proud of him
And to bring them happiness...

And like OUR HEAVENLY FATHER,
He's a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on
To be ALWAYS ON OUR SIDE.

Great poem BG, gotta remember to call my Dad tomorrow and thank him for inspiring my love of Mustangs and hot cars in general. Told wife and daughter today that Father's Day present for at least the next few years is sitting right in the garage. My daughter drew a picture for me of all of us riding in the GT500 top down. If I can figure out how I'll scan it in and post. It almost brought tears to my eyes. What? That? That's just my eyes watering from the dust I kicked up as we drove past that new warehouse construction down the road.

I got to see them twice this year, so my tolerance level is pegged for a couple years. My wife has already we're going out to dinner tonite so that she doesn't have to cook dinner and can have an adult beverage.

Something blue & fruity is what she usually requests. Since we're going to an Irish Pub for dinner, I'll probably go for a Guinness or a Black & Tan.
