Perhaps Obama can fix this as well. He has already recommended the CEO of GM should be fired. Maybe we can lend some people money to see if Pelosi and her whack job constituents can help. I am glad our Govt. can fix everything and I don't have to work anymore.

I never understood this fear of ocean levels rising with the melting of arctic ice. It doesn't make sense.

1. Antarctic ice is expanding, not contracting. Western ice sheets are contracting somewhat, but eastern ice sheets are expanding at an alarming rate.
2. Arctic ice is melting
3. Arctic ice is floating on the ocean. There's no land up there folks.
4. If the Arctic ice melts, there will be no, that's zero, rise in sea levels. Liquid water displaces just as much sea water as solid water.

Try putting ice in a glass and filling it up to the rim with water. Let it sit. When the ice melts, your glass of water doesn't overflow.

The article I posted used the same analogy. They referred to it as a "fourth grade since experiment".

I said it before on the other site. In the Middle Ages, people were growing grapes to make wine on the British Isles. That was long before hybid strains to withstand colder climes. That was also long before the Indusrtial Revolution.

That article also states that we are now at the average temperature levels of 1980, and trending lower.

Why is it that many of the former scientists who promoted the concept of "Global Warming" are now switching their positions? That's the question I would like to have answered. Not: Why do the scientists who still recieve grants to study "Global Warming" cling to the idea? And: Why do people who are setting up ways to profit from the sale of "Carbon Credits" keep pushing the theory?

Those two I can figure out on my own.
