Took an interesting test drive today.....in a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V

Took a Black 2009 CTS-V for a test drive today.

Thinking of upgrading Moma D from the SRT-8

My buddy has the hookup with the son of the guy who owns the dealership, so the test drive was no issue.

The car was fully loaded: Sun roof, Nav system, Recarro seats w. heat and A/C, upgraded Bose speaker system and satellite radio.

OMG, the car is awesome. Fit and finish is first rate. Smooth riding and wicked fast. Got it up to 130 with no problems. I wouldn't get one for me, but for Momma D, it would be the bomb.

With the hookup at the dealership, I can get it below sticker. Momma D wants ared one and wouldn't you know the dealership will be getting a fully loaded red in three weeks.

Not after I'm done with my mods it won't.

I think after I put on the Griggs suspension and add the Hellion TT kit, I will be able to stay ahead of her.

Great choice...if I was in the market for a car like this it would be at or near the top of my list...hope there is a dealer network left to support them though

Don't bet on it DK, the Griggs is caveman compared to the state of the art rear end on the CTS-V.

I think when you add NAV and some other toys the CTS-V gets close to 64K but you should be able to hammer out a really good deal especially on one on the lot. A little bird told me the dealer has 13 points in the CTS-V, it is a high margin unit.

The Brakes and that endless torque really impressed me when I got to take one out.

Go for it! It is the ultimate car with 4 doors right now under 80K, IMO.

Love the power of the '09, but the styling of the '08 is head and shoulders above. Great car. I can't wait to pick a fight with one at the drags...
