Default FRPP CAI install instructions

Anyone have a diagram of where the mounting bracket goes for the FRPP CAI? Ford doesn't seem able to provide any instructions with their products.

Sorry I missed this thread, but glad you got it all figured out. It was easy to install, and once you get the tune loaded... wohoooooo Good luck!

The instruction sheet for the TVS SC upgrade also includes steps for installing the CAI on pages 8 and 9 and then on 22 through 26. You can download a copy from the VMP Tuning website.

Just got back from Shelby Fest. Got the CAI and tune installed before I left. Not only do I have more power, and more blower whine, but I also logged 23.2 mpg on the stretch of I44 between Springfield and St. Louis. At 75 mph. Can't beat a deal like that.

That's nice! I am getting between 18-19 mostly on the highway at 75-80 on cruise. I get about 20mpg if I go 55-60 and about 19.4 at 65. Not bad all things considered...amazing what modern technology can do

Just to wrap-up this thread; Ford Racing finally made the CAI instructions available for download.

Crazy question, but how would one confirm they had a tune loaded? Ok, let me explain, I had my dealer install and load for warranty purposes. So how would I determine it was actually loaded? yes it is faster, more PSI and louder blower, but is there a way to tell using the loader or something?

I'm not sure if you can directly read back which calibration is installed with the Procal II. But if you're really ambitious you can re-program the performance calibration and view/edit the configuration data through this menu. I did this several times while calibrating the speedometer for the correct tire size. I don't recall if there is a screen that indicates the performance calibration is already loaded while navigating through the various programming screens. Another possibility is to go through the motions of programming and view the configuations data - perhaps this by itself will indicate you have the performance calibration installed.

When you install the performance calibration, this display indicates the performance calibration is installed.
