Does the store take Paypal? I hadn't used it for years, but sent my payment for Shelbyfest via Paypal, so I had to deposit funds into my Paypal account to cover (I guess normally, I would just use my CC for Paypal transactions, but when I logged in, I found that I had a $40 balance that I did not know about, so I decided to the remaining funds deposited so that when the payment went out, it would zero my account there). The note I got for my deposit said that it takes and average of 3-5 days for the deposit to post (maybe longer depending on the bank). Then my "e-check" said it would take an additional 3-5 days following that (I put it in on 3/31 and it estimated it to be between 4/4 and 4/7 for clearance). Now I know why I don't use Paypal unless I have to.

I understand your frustration with this order Rob.

As you know, you paid via Paypal "e-check".

As you also know, while your order was placed Friday night (3/27)your funds didn't get released to use until this past Wednesday.

Dana offered to release your order earlier than normal (ie: before we had the funds) because we knew you and knew your funds would come. However, we had multiple orders releasing during this time period, and our vendor immediately debits the funds from our account when the order is placed - leaving us in a pickle. This took an extra day to 2 to overcome.




The BVM Store, with the products we sell, including the Lifetime Membership, is the ONLY way we support this forum. EVERY dollar goes into keeping this forum going - nothing else.

Max, Iceman and I are the guys behind this. You know us. We know most of you. We're not a big parts house. We're not a big faceless corporation. We do our best to keep things running smoothly here and in the store - but we also work like you do, and have families like you do.


When we screw up - we tell it like it is. When our vendors screw up, we do our best to find a way to fix it.


We appreciate everyone's support over the last year. YOUR support is whats enabled this site to grow into the Family we have today.

Thanks for the communication. I do appreciate it.

What do you think about my idea of having someone like you or Iceman having access to the store so things like my mufflers can be looked at ?

I'm suggesting this because Max may be on vacation or have other obligations many times through out the year and not have computer access.

I have learned how vendors can end up giving a bad rap to any store.

Often times people see it as the stores fault when actually behind the scenes it is a much different story.

Hope any of this doesn't put a bad taste in ordering from the BVM store in the future.

You can set up your Paypal account to fund immediately from your bank account or linked CC, check your Profile and settings. Most vendors block the e-check option from PayPal due to the delay.

Bottom-line, PayPal is the safest and most efficient way to buy online, offering two levels or recourse if the transaction goes sideways, PayPal and your CC issuing Bank.

PayPal also now, offers Mastercards for free, that are linked to your account allowing you to make a "PayPal" payment even when a vendor does not accept them and gives you a 1% rebate on your purchase.
