Default NY Insurance
Taking a quick survey of those insuring their GT500s in NY metro area, particularly interested in anyone who lives out on Long Island. I am having a bit of sticker shock having moved here and the rate for my GT500 policy doubling to $1,700 a year. I have a good driving record, and I get it that insurance is more in any large metro area, but Jeez double what I was paying in the D.C. area, that doesn't seem rght!? There are plenty of crappy drivers in D.C. area too, so why so damn much in NY!?

I heard some where we have the high percentage of DWI's here than anywhere else in the country.

I pay $1200 for two cars.

Im in NY. It doesn't matter where you live just go to grundy.com and full coverage, no mile restrictions. $600.00 a year. Cant beat it.

I live on Long Island, I pay $700 per year through Grundy with an assured value of $50K. I was paying $1300 through Allstate!
