Well. I just did it She's ready for her 4/6 month hiatus Heading to Florida next week and she's staying under lock and key Who else locks her up (the Stang guys, the Stang) for months at a time.

I don't lock up my car.

However I lock up Mrs. Carnut about once a month.

I live in Fla,. so its year round cruising for me. if I lived up north I would definitley lock up for winter...I may start to actually drive it less in the summer months with the heat and all...

I locked up Shelby last year from November 1 thru March something. I don't think I'm going to do it this year. The weather has been surprisingly nice in Denver so far this winter (knock on wood). We just got our 1st snow yesterday (only snowed for a couple of hours) and now it's 50 degrees and sunny outside.

Had mine out for the final time today (down to the SVTOA meeting).

Tomorrow is cleanup the storage stall of the garage and park her for the season.

This winter is cooling system mods: Lethal Intercooler Tank, PFAb Radiator tank and LFP Dual Pass heat exchanger. That is of course assuming I can get a decent heater for working in the garage.

Mine stays in the garage from the first snow til the first hard rains of spring. They put so damn much calcium chloride on the streets here. Even in my subdivision, which sucks. Before I moved, I could at least tool around the subdivision once in a while. Not anymore.

Same here Jon. I actually view this aspect of winter as a plus because I give the car a break and have time to get some new mods taken care of.
It also make's me appreciate the spring and summertime even more when they arrive.

I usually put mine to bed in late Oct. However I took it ou for a spin 2 weeks ago and blew the rear, so now it is rehabing at the ford dealer.

Hope it's inside....should have been done by now I would think . It's only a 4 hr job.

I usually like to take mine out about every 2-3 weeks to keep the battery charged. I know, I need to get a battery tender but then I won't have an excuse to take it out. I just usually take to town and back when I go to the dealer to visit my salesman at the dealer. I always make sure the roads are nice and dry first and the sun is going to stay out for that little bit time.

Just started it, no problem. It has been garaged since november and, She just purred like a lion.Not bad considering the cold weather we have been having. No heat in the garage so it gets pretty nippy in there.

Had to wait for parts from Shelby. As they were putting it back together they realized some parts were missing and had to order more. Should be done by Friday.

My baby is in a heated garage. When I am not in there, I turn the thermostat down as far as it goes, normally about 45 degrees. It keeps it warm enough in there to keep the water pipes from freezing and to keep the chill off the cars.

I know I'm way too anal with the Shelby. But it was a lot of money (at least for me, it was), it's one of only 131 built, and I've waited for it for 38 years. So it's very much a garage queen. I'd rather this one take the wear and tear:



It's a 2005 Crown Vic Police Interceptor with 101K miles. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

If we go on a highway trip, we take the Charger.

I drive mine to work everyday despite the weather. There was a day last week that we had about 1/2 inch of ice over night. I ended up taking my wife's truck because I couldn't get any traction to clean the ice off of my car.

Wow, your neighborhood looks very similar to mine.

If I had that Interceptor I would use that on a trip.

People would get out of the way on the interstate.
