Mid-America Ford Meet

Last year I went to this in Tulsa OK and had a great time. Registration is now open. Last year they literally had a mile of Mustangs for the cruise and it was a record breaker. I know the other site is one of sponsors so who cares. I am just going for fun and to meet people that I haven't met yet and to see others that I have already met. I hope to see some of you there. I was all set to go last year. I had the time off from work, hotel reservations were made, and at the last minute my co-pilot at the time bailed. Probably a good thing as I would have probably strangled him halfway there.

I can't imagine driving 1,000+ miles each way with the most irratating, shit talking, English teacher in the world without committing at least one felony.

Right now, Shelbyfest is my #1 plan. Orfstock is teaming up to be #2 (given that a summer weekend might fit into my annual trip to the family lakehouse in NH). I had a blast at MidAmerican in Tulsa, even though it was a 24 hour turnaround (drove 4 hours in the am, spent the day, went to the banquet........thank you again Kyle!!!............and drove home 4 hours getting in around 3am). But we'll see.

I'm looking for a hotel now. My daughter lives down there and I was planning on flying but I guess I'll take a road trip instead. Anybody else coming from VA or wanna meet up along the way??

That all depends on the route that you will be taking. Let us know how you plan on getting there and maybe someone will join up along the way. There is a Hilton just around the corner over there. There is also a Holiday Inn Select about 7 miles way that is very reasonable. It is easy to get back and forth to the Marriot from there.

I have a lady on team shelby that has been helping me out a bit. Just trying to find people to meet up with along the to make the trip easier and a bit more fun. I am sooooo excited now! I can go thru ky or tn. if I find poeple to meet up with, I'll go that way

Depending on which way you go and when you would be passing through, there may be a couple of people from the St. Louis area going. I'll be going on the 24th and plan to be there around 3PM. I'll be going on I-44. Here is a link from Yahoo maps.
