After having driven a GT500 a number of times, I must say I am much prefer them to the 6 cyl models. I was in the market for a GT500 a number of years ago, but non of the dealers had a standard, I didn't see the point in buying an automatic because that was all they had.

I think you mean a 'GT' since GT500's only come with a manual 6 speed trans. The Mustang GT is also a great car and I agree with you about having a standard, definitely the way to go.
