I thought the same thing about the striping! I also don't think they should have given them the Powered by Ford badge - my unbiased opinion is that it is reserved for the Shelby GT!!

Hmmm ...the options on the GT500SE include a lot of SS stuff and what seems to be the TVS choice (unstated) is 630HP (not 605). Did FRPP give them a new tune or something? (It's still shows 605 at FRPP)

...that makes sense and HP-wise sounds right. It's a pretty pricey piece to just leave off the list ...possibly just an oversight.

Wait 'till they find out they could have had the L&M for less, color-anodized with more HP.

On the SR I noticed that they finally flinched and decided to offer the Whipple as an option afterall (thankfully) -duh. Maybe all the ruckus and comparo evidence posted on the small KB vs Whipple kits finally sunk in a little! It's unfortunate that folks have to send a 'message' tied to a brick for them to notice it. -lol. Still, the Whipple should have been standard and the small KB a lower-cost option ;-) Better still would have been the TVS, but I guess KB made them a deal they could not refuse At least they're using decent chassis/susp pieces but you could buy a 2010 GT TrackPak, add one of several TVS kits (or the Whipple) and comparable FRPP pieces and smoke the SR for about $15 less, I think -- and no tacky finessless stripe either. The giant Cobra on the hood is a cool graphic, but not my style -- if that's mandatory I fear they've lost touch with reality.

It's almost like they're trying to head-off Ford at King Cobra pass ...if so that might be telegraphing some well deserved tension since planning for the 2011s should already be pretty well baked and 2006-2011 is six years by my count ....just some nutty thoughts ;-)

The SR to me is just a bunch of parts from other packages. Why the KB or Whipple and not the TVS? Why the Terligua hood and not it's own design, why the Ford GT knock off wheels? Where's the long awaited Shelby suspension they talked about 2yrs ago? One would be better off buying a low mileage Mustang GT, install the Griggs TT/brakes and put the Roush charger on it with some FR wheels and good tires.

Dunno if you caught in that Gary Paterson video interview (not sure what thread or the exact words but) ...he talks about when they (SAI) developed the GT500 with the help of their partner, Ford. Ummmm.... ok.
