TSB BULLETINS - Ford Edge

Does anyone here have access to Ford TSB's that the general public do not have access to? My new Edge is already in the shop with a PTU leak . Seems that all the Edges with AWD are experiencing the same problem. What was supposed to be an easy fix to replace the seal, has now turned into the whole PTU unit needs to be replaced. This does not surprise me because that seems to be the norm on the Edge forum I visit. I google the TSB's for 2008 Edge AWD and there are no bulletins, but I know Ford is aware of this problem and are trying to resolve it , but having trouble doing it.....Very frustrating!!!! I just wanted to do some more research for my self.......

Thank you. What are the numbers that are underlined in blue stand for? The PTU problem is definetly listed.

should be on paperwork...insurance, registration, somthing you have at home.

The numbers in blue are the production fix dates. If you want me to expand any of those TSB's let me know.

Production fix dates? It seems this problem has been on going and still not fixed. I brought mine in on Tuesday for a 4-5 hour seal replacement, found out today the seal didnt stop the leak and they had to order a whole new PTU unit wont have car until sometime next week.....

Could you possibly expand the PTU bulletin. Thanks!

Unfortunately, registration in car, everything else at my office ....:( I never said I was the brightest bulb on the tree....LOL

Thanks.....Its interesting that one of the part numbers that is in the bulletin is the one they put into my Edge yesterday and it still leaks......... I really hope Ford comes up with a solution for this.......

Good luck BadGirl, hope you get it fixed permanently.

That 8-26-6 listing in the TSBs sounds like a good option, they should leave that on there, not fix it, and charge extra.

OK..... Badgirl needs help again if possible. Brought my "Jellybean" in today for an oil change and a check on the PTU Unit (Burning smell again) and low and behold, it is leaking again. Tech informed me that there is a new TSB outon this but I cannot find it on the internet. Can anyone help me? I guess it has something to do with the seal installation...Thanks!!!
