Interesting approach to a portable bar sink hook up . I see only one problem that is with your solution to the sump vent issue. In most cases the auto vent on the sump will not provide enough air to allow the pump to work properly and not empty the sump . Normally it is piped to a plumbing vent . The pump need an adequate supply of inlet air to discharge properly.

Thanks George, you may be right. When you say "auto vent", I assume you mean that white thing. We bought that separately from the sump pump...and it does allow air in...just perhaps not enough as you say.

We talked about that, but the work involved in plumbing into the existing house vent was enormous, and the code guy said that what we did would work...we'll just have to see. If not, I'll have to come up with plan B.

It's actually called a "Studor " vent. or air emmittence valve
