It's one of 25 hand-made by Bill Dietz, each taking 400 man hours and combined three years to build. Ferrari engines of any vintage are pieces of art on their own, but this absolutely faithful recreation in woods ranging from oak to Philippine mahogany takes things to an entirely different level. Everything is perfectly recreated in wood, from the valve covers to the velocity stacks to the bolts holding the pressure plate on. It got us thinking, what would be cooler to have as a living room decoration, an actual Ferrari engine or this ultra-rare piece of craftsmanship? We're thinking the wooden one, as having a real Ferrari engine would mean a waste of a perfectly good Geo Metro transplant motor.

Did get a few rides over the years.
