Now you have to move to Chandler (Phoenix). You will not have a problem finding a house with an orange grove in your back yard. Or any other kind of citrus you like.

Those that live there (as we used to) will tell you there is nothing better than a tree ripened (orange, grapefruit, tangelo, lemon). Yes, tree ripened lemons are even kind of sweet and very edible. When I was in Chandler working for Intel my uncle and aunt (who I was living with, it's a family thing) had a lemon grove. I brought in about three bushels of lemons to the plant and left them in boxes with "Free" on them. Security told me they were gone in about 15 minutes.

There are alternatives. In the older part of the City of Phoenix there are still places with actively cultivated date palm trees. Those were delicious.

We even had a fig tree.
