Ok, let's be real here. All of us who can afford to buy such nice cars are not poor. But there's a whole nother level of wealthy.....I mean $1 mil for a vacation?

Never saw that. I got the impression that it has a Bluegrass soundtrack and I'd rather chew my arm off than listen to Bluegrass music.

The most expensive vacation we've ever taken was our honeymoon. Two weeks in Europe covering Spain, France, and Italy. We tend not to do anything on vacation OTT (Over The Top), so even that one was not too bad...it was in 1996 and cost us about $6,000. Probably would be $9k-$10k today.

Our typical vacation costs us around $3,500 nowadays...7-10 days somewhere in the US. This year due to the economic fallout we're spending a week at home. We'll take a vacation in the fall most likely to see a Raiders game, but it will be short and relatively inexpensive.

We do nicer vacations on every 5th anniversary. Our 15th is in 2.5 years. We just started saving extra for that one. We've not finalized plans, but considering Hawaii, Greece, or Germany.

How about we make it $3000 and you skip the Raiders game? I'll kick you in the nuts (not carnut) and give you back $250, same as watching the Raiders, no?

I usually take a 3 week vacation to southern Africa every 2 years. I stay with family the time I'm there so that cuts the costs down, but airfares are about $1700.

Usually 3 weeks there runs me about $3500.

But, I have to save almost 2 years worth of vacation to do these trips. Not good in a high stress job.

That's pretty cool...I have been thinking about going to South Africa someday. I love great white sharks...been thinking about taking a little swim with them.

Wow, no I had not seen that picture. Pretty cool though. Thanks for the offer. I have a friend who is originally from there, she goes every few years too. So I might go with her someday if I ever get the time off...and stop spending my money on the car.
