There is a lot of room for expansion but there are documented cases of people with eating disorders causing their stomachs to rupture. I have seen many cases of dogs with stomach torsion or gastric outflow obstruction have their stomachs bloat and rupture. We also see it when dogs eat expansive products like sealing foam or Gorilla Glue. Never, never, ever let your dog get ahold of Gorilla Glue! It's a nightmare.
