BadCat is now officially a cold war warrior..
It's official.....I am now officially recognized as a cold war warrior....
 I originally looked into this for my dad, due to his military career, but soon realized that it was open to anyone who served the US during this period, both civilian and military........thought I would put it up at work and mess with the heads of a few of the liberal tree huggers......  http://coldwar.army.mil/faq.htm

way cool badcat...congrats...
i actually had lunch with Gates last year while he was on the ship...a cool and down to earth kinda guy...im on his right. a bunch of the masterchiefs took the shot with him.... one of the air dept guys immortalized his Army helo with a Truman sticker, which of course the hanger guys back in DC didn't appreciate, which caused our CO (far right in front) to have to appologize, and pay to have it removed and redo that section of the helo....9k later....

Gates has been a great Secretary of Defense. Texas A&M lost one of their best presidents when he was picked by Bush to become Secretary (and that's from a Longhorn!).
My daughter was in the Corps of Cadets at A&M while Gates was the president. They Corps would PT every morning at 6:00 and many times Gates would run with them. It was amazing that on a campus with 40,000 students, Gates could call many by name. That's a great picture masterchief! I love the story about the Truman sticker - I hope somebody got a picture and that everybody kicked in to help pay the bill. Here's a picture of Secretary Gates in his honorary Senior Boots that the Corps of Cadets presented him with.
