Belton Car Cruise

The largest cruise around KC is in the downtown area of Belton, MO, which is in the extreme southern part of the metro area. It is held on the fourth saturday of the month, and this was the last month for 2008. I usually can't make it because of an overlap with the cruise put on by my local mustang club, but I was able to make this one (about a 40 mile drive, not too bad by kc standards)

At least 500-600 cars showed up during this event; both sides of 8 to 10 small city blocks, plus the side streets for the entire length; lots of spectators, and cars cruising up the street the whole night. Quite a nice affair.

Among my favorites were the buick gsx

and a very nicely done elanor clone, cannot stress how sweetly done it was..



and of course my white piece of junk....



and the only other gt500; I have met him once before, he owns a few grocery stores. He has this gt500 plus another in his garage waiting to be supersnaked



..and I can't forget about the 69 442, I had a 69 in silver back in the day....

Why didn't you let us know sooner? Some of us could have showed up during the summer. I'm always up for a good cruise/show.

there is always something going on, so it was not really an attempt to shut you guys out, I just assumed you knew a bunch of things were going on over here. Anyway, keep the link, not a lot left for 2008, but the start of 2009 is only a few cold months away........

world of wheels is coming up in late feb/early march. My mustang club always has a club entry, so I might show my car with them.......

pictures don't do it justice, Its one that I would probably trade the gt500 for....

the interior is so put together, with lots of custom work, but nothing gaudy...

...that was 3-400, a pretty decent day, so a decent turnout....it is one of the best attended in the kc area.......sucks that it is so far from me, almost an hour drive....
