Shelbyville is on a distinguished road
Default Re: Ford Racing Brake Duct Instructions (GT & GT500 )

Page 5 Step 2, with all due respect to ford let me just say: YEAH RIGHT!
On my car (and I assume everyone else's) that steel a/c line is DIRECTLY in line with the duct.

Driver's side, easy peasy (sorry, been watching big bang theory) just chuck a hole saw in a cordless drill and drill that puppy, 30 seconds tops. Other side is a whole 'nother story. It got done but it took a bucket of tools and and an hour of cussin.

If you're planning on doing this look at the right side first and make sure you've got all the tools you need to get the job done before starting. Don't want to be driving around in a car with only one brake duct. That would be......unbalanced.

For the passenger side I used a flexible extension in my drill. (Piece Of Cake)

Same here but Shelbyville is correct in pointing out those lines as they are something to reckon with and one must be careful around them.

I'm not looking forward to that ordeal. Part of the reason they still sit in the box in my office.
