I like it. I bet it's one of those universal words - can be a noun, verb, adverb - ANYTHING! Maybe we can start a contest to see how many ways to use "TG" in a sentence?? ![]() ![]() ![]() -

Very, very nice work. I wish I had the tools and talents to do that. I saw a project car on StangNet, the White with Blue CDC project car, and they removed the fog lights and used those holes for brake cooling ducts they fabbed. They relocated the lights to the lower grill and it looks nice. What do you think of an idea like that, would it be practical or are there some gotchas you think with an approach like that?

My biggest fear would be blocking air flow to the Heat Exchanger for the intercooler. You want as much air flow as possible coming through there and the fog lights would certainly block a fair amount...although I like that look of them centered I don't think it would be as functional.

What about this idea?
Use the holes for the fog lights for the brake cooling, and use the cooling duct location for dumping cold air on the intake. I mean, do the fog lights really make that much difference when driving? I have driven with them off and with them on. I can't really see much difference. Be honest, how many of us actually drive these cars in heavy fog? |

It would work I'm sure but i don't believe that the cooling effect from romoving the fogs is that much greater than using the spots we have...Especially with the set up George has. I neve use my fog lights because I have the 8K HID bulbs and don't like the look of them being different so I leave them off....the HID lights are great anyway. Just like we don't drive them in the fog we don't drive them in a way that you need the fog lights made into brake ducts IMO.....If you wanted to set up a true CAI it may be an option but why not just get a ram air hood?
I'd like a ram air hood but I want one with out issues and I'd like to see one that you can close the ram air like the old cars (at least mine) had levers to pull and close the outside off for the vents....then whenyou are stuck in a hard rain you could close them...or for washing etc. I won't replace my hood though until i find one i really like that doesn't have all of the issues people have had. I like the KR Look but don't want the letters on the front. Maybe the SS with the twist locks but I'm not ready to jump into that one yet. |
