Saw one in person a couple of weeks ago and was impressed with it. Those heim joints are very large . My only thought on them is as with any heim joint used in a street application they will require frequent lubrication and cleaning of road grit to prevent premature wear.
Overall I liked it though.

George, I was never a fan of heims either, I had them on steering dampeners on race bikes for years and they constantly had to be maintained or replaced if neglected. They have now made their way to the street and I have noticed that the heim joints have evolved over the years and have proven to be very reliable, the ones on the newer Ducati steering dampeners need no maintenance at all. I'm assuming this Link incorporates a high-end modern heim as it was designed in 2007.

I think the way most of us drive these cars only on nicer days the heims would last as long as long or longer than the polymer/nylon bushings on the Saleen piece. My only concern is that device may be loud but not sure as it functions a long way away from the passenger compartment. What do you think?

I'm really considering this piece, not the polished, I think an extra $500 for the polish is too steep, IMO and the regular piece is on sale now for $200 off from Techco.
Further, I'm thinking these Techno guys are from Saleen so this piece is probably an evolution of the Saleen designed piece.

I have the non polished, just haven't had time to install yet. Looks like a good piece in person but like everything else with these cars there is only one way to find out and thats put it to the test.

The inherent problem with any heim joint is that it is exposed to the elements and the lubrication isn't sealed in . That's why you don't see them used by car manufacturers much if at all. That said they do work extremely well in allowing precise controlled movement and articulation of any moving parts.

One of the saving graces of this set up is that lubrication, when necessary, should be fairly non-eventful and easy due to the location of the link.

As George said I had one installed when they SS'd my car. I have had it back for just under a week and haven't really had the opportunity to push the car in the twisties anywhere but it feel a lot more solid and planted than before and I can't hear any additional noise from the heims on the watts link. I do however have some gear noise now (nothing bad), and the car itself is noticeably louder. (due to headers and high flow cats)

I have a lifted Jeep with lots of heim joints in the suspension and that definitely has vibration and noise transimission issues from them but so far I have nothing like that with the stang. (fingers crossed!)
