Rear Spring Perches

[6-Speed]

Has anyone seen any rear spring perches available, either poly or adjustable types for the S197 Mustang? Seems like the poly types are made for 04 and older vehicles and the adjustable ones all come with pseudo coil-overs and are $$$. Just looking at perch options before I install my FRPP lowering springs. I wouldn't mind having the option to adjust the rear height to level the car with or without the front lowered.

I learned that the model 9.6106 polyurethane isolators made by Energy Suspension fits the GT500 8.8" axle. They are sold in pairs and cost about $10 + shipping. They come in black or red and are flexible like their rubber OEM counterparts. Nice upgrade when installing lowering springs. They are easy to install - just lift off the old one and press in the new one. I have not encountered any additional noise while driving.

IMHO the polyurethane isolators are more durable than the rubber OEM ones and will last longer. I would think they provide a firmer base for the springs than the rubber ones too. They are cheap and really easy to install while replacing springs - so I said why not.

You can see from the pictures one of my isolators was a bit beat-up. Looks like the assembler pinched the top of one isolator under the spring. The poly isolators were cheaper than OEM replacment parts.

No I did not apply any lube on the isolators. They do not squeak.
