Smile Re: Time for LCA's

I just installed the Steeda UCA with HD replacement bracket. I now have no wheel hop, even with the stock LCA's. I also did not gain any NHV with the change. Steeda gets my vote as best.

I have been reading up on this and will be doing this mod shortly, as well. What I don't understand - why mess with the arms? Round, square, ladder; Al, steel, alloy - doesn't matter - the problem is the bushings being too compliant and allowing axle "windup" correct? So just swap out the bushings. Or is it strictly an appearance thing? I have ordered new bushings for upper and lower - $74. Hopefully this will cure one of the most annoying things about this car.

Ford routes the parking brake cable through one of the slots in the LCAs. For those of you that installed after market LCAs without any slots, how did you route the parking brake cable - above or below the LCA? If routed below, did you just let the cable dangle?

I copied this idea from Alloy Dave 2 years ago. No problems the last 2 years. Bought the parts at True Value Hardware.
