Anybody going to KC on Labor Day weekend for Goodguys?

Anyone going to the Goodguys rod and custom show this weekend (Aug 30th) in Kansas City? The SO and I are going to drive up Fri night and catch the show on Sat.

my local club has their cruise on the liberty square starting around 3 pm, so I probably won't make it. Sounds like some good cars should be there. Plus the Legends entertainment area near the racetrack has a lot of good choices.

I would go but I have to work at the truck and tractor pull this weekend. Yee haw....a weekend with the local boys trying to see who can drag a sled the farthest.

I'd love to but it's too far for me this time. My little girl is turning 2 on Sat. so that's our big deal for the week end. Given her rough start it's a pretty big deal I guess but I never expected anything less so I'm not as wound up over it as the rest of the family is.

Here are some pics from Evansville, IN before a big show last week end. We were passing through and this was all in our hotel parking lot beofre break fast. My 4 yr old had a ball with the "Hot Rods".

I've been around. Lurking from time to time and an occasional post or two. I've been on the black vert site a little more but over all we've had a nice stretch of dry weather here and I've been trying to not be inside.

I made an attempt at the drags Wed. night but being that I am a moron I forgot my Jack and 40 miles into the trip realized it and turned around so no racing for me last week. I am trying to get there though and see what happens when i put the new slicks to the test. I broke them in and never got a hard run in on them yet.

Busy with work and then week ends I've been on the road as you can see - luckily for fun not work but next week end is work. I am thrilled about it too. Opening day in the NFL and I sit on a plane to Vancouver, Canada....perfect

Don't worry though - I stay around ;)

I hear you about working on the opening weekend. I'll be working (on a good buzz) in the Bay area for 49ers/Cardinals game on Sunday followed by Raiders/Broncos Monday Night Football (in between, 3 rounds of golf, Giants/Pirates and about 80 beers or so). Any San Fran family members out there??

80 beers? What has you holding back for gods sake. It's opening weekend.
