Hmm, I like being able to flow more air, but I'm not liking the prospect of having to buy a completely new intake tube.

The stock injectors are 52lbs capable up to approx 700rwhp max. What you first have to be careful about is maxing out the stock mass air sensor. Both the FRPP and the JLT meter use the stock sensor. The FRPP CAI meter using the stock sensor can measure up to 24kg of air flow ( about 667rwhp max ) (The stock air-box pegs at or around 475rwhp) Anything approaching or exceeding the 667rwhp level would be time to consider going to either the larger CJ meter & stock sensor( very expensive) or changing to the HPX sensor (around $250)with the FRPP or JLT meter .This would make both of those meters capable of supporting over 1000rwhp.

Yes it works perfectly with the FRPP meter and the proper mass air curve has been established on the flow bench, unlike using a Mafia .

Professional mass air may have to have one of Jay's meter's to plot the meter curve for that meter unless they already have done that....piece of cake.

it appears justin has already done that with an excel spreadsheet on his site. basically input your maf size, and it automatically computes the values (converting kg to v)...at least thats my take on it...

Here are the pictures I promised. Sorry for the delays Flow work was done with the filter and inlet tube on the MAF and off. The only item that was found to be a restriction was the air filter (one in picture on the 113 ford cai). That filter started to have a pressure drop around 2300-2400kg. When replace with filter in the picture on the new MAF, there was almost zero pressure. All flow testing was taken up to 3200kg which equals 1600cfm or enough air to support 1066HP. I will be testing the new MAF on the dyno against the ford 113. Will also be testing Ford's new TB(I am expecting to be on the dyno in a week or two) Will post result when completed. Thanks for the pics and the flow bench testing info especially compared to the FRPP CAI . So there was no air flow restriction in the stock rubber air inlet tube but the conical filter with the closed front end was a restriction. Very good to know ! It's amazing how much better the other filter with the extra surface area in the front cone was . So much so that it will support over 1000 HP whereas the other one will only be good up to about 770 hp. It will be interesting to see how the CJ meter preforms in your dirveability and power testing on the dyno and the street.

It will as long as the mass air meter you are using has had it's meter curve plotted by PMAS. You would just need to give them a call .
