any updates on the L&M TB?




Real close.
Manufacturing is for sure a little more changeling then I thought.
I needed the tooling that cuts them tweaked a couple times to get them exactly how I want them, but the product is real close.
I should have one this week if not next week I can give my OK with to put into production.
I will let all know.

I have been tossing the idea around about selling with electronics and without.
i know your doing your best to get this out but once i see some tvs sheets posted i'll be making my decision. i need to spend some money.

I did have a TB at Orf's (I did show it to all)I just need to check the piece and it should be ready to go into production.(this will take a week or two to verfiy)
The plenum mold needed to be redone that should be coming back to me in the next week or so too.
Both are real close as I was hoping to have both completed at this time.

L & M TB Latest News ! Exclusive here on StangMafia!

The new production TB was tested today for idle and drivability and passed with flying colors.....and no tune changes from the TVS with a stock TB tune were required at all for idle and driveability .

(NOTE: If you currently have a monoblade on your car and wish to install the L&M your tune would have to go back to the TVS/stock TB settings.)

There are a couple more performance test's yet to be done then a full production run can begin. Probably in two weeks because of the July 4ty holiday.


Besides the stock billet aluminum there will be quite a few finish options offered as well consisting of :

(1) A fully Polished piece

(2) Anodized in various colors of your choice

(almost any LOL)

(3) Trying to work out an option that could include electronics as well.

Will post more as things unfold.

George, since some folks interested in the L&M TB will be coming from the mono am I correct in assuming that while no tune changes would be needed when coming from any TB that respects Ford's TB/servo engineering calibration (e.g. stocker, CJ, BBK), changes would be required when coming from the mono or other brass-geared TB because those pieces already required non-standard 'compensation' to begin with ...that now would have to be 'undone.' Is that correct?

Since the news of a super-flowing no-tune TB will likely spread like wild-fire I thought folks jumping into this thread from other sites might not realize that -- if my assumption (above) is correct. If not, feel free to delete this post since my intent is to eliminate potential confusion.

now that that is cleared up..another wrinkle...how about diff MAF's? my post mono/header tune(s) was/were with JLT & FRPP CAI's. Now i have the CJ MAF....care to indulge..

That should have no affect on the TB as your tune should already have the proper map in it for your particular Mass air meter . ( in your case the CJ meter)

WTF! Did I miss something on being able to buy one? Or is a store buying them as in our friendly store here?

Also, I know you said a few weeks back that the Plenum was still about 6 weeks out. Is that still holding true as far as you know?
