Supercharging a 4.6...does it fit?

A friend of mine recently bought a 2009 Mustang GT California Special with a 4.6L V8. The car is just fantastic. He got 4.10s put in the rear before he even got home.
Anyway he also has a 2001 Ford F150 Lightning with a supercharged 5.4L Cobra motor.
We were talking mods one day (I will soon be the owner of a new MINI Cooper S for us to mess with) and were talking about supercharging his 'stang. We both thought of taking the supercharger off the 5.4L in his truck, seeing as all it does now is sit in his driveway unless my friend (his girlfriend) wants to take it around for a spin.
We were wondering if the space in the engine bay of the Mustang as well as the orientation of the engine would accommodate a supercharger like this with minimal parts. He works overnights 9 hours a day 6 days a week so his time is limited as well as money, so we wanna do the work ourselves as much as possible.
Has anyone done anything like this? Any luck?

I'm not sure if what you're asking about will work, but there are plenty of people here who are smarter than me who will be able to give you a definitive answer.

4.6 isnt configured for a SC..you'd end up quite possibly doing damage. plus, the orientation most likely isnt the same wrt intake applications and needing an intercooler manifold, etc.

That was my question more or less. Any chance you might have an idea the cost and work involved in SCing it?

There are companys out there that currently make SC kits that bolt on the new Mustang GT.

Edelbrock , Whipple are among the best. You can probably find some good info on their web sites.

the SC off the lighting won't work, the SC's that the other members listed will do the trick. If your interested in a bolt on Turbo kit let me know, it'll save you a couple of grand.

This is what is on my Shelby GT/SC.

Also check with Ford Racing - they resell the Whipple and it'll keep whatever warranty is remaining if you have a Ford dealer install.

Roush also makes a TVS kit for the 4.6 (downflow similar to FRPP GT500 TVS vs upflow like E-Force and Techco's TVSs)

Yes they do but not as well designed as the others IMO.that's why I did't mention them....but since you did .....
