Clutch TSB:please help

Can someone please send me or provide me a working link to the actual gt500 clutch and flywheel TSB

Tell him that you know for a fact that:

1. The first 11 months of GT500 production cars did not get any Teflon lube on the input shaft and clutch hub.

2. Tell him that you know your clutch hub and input shaft have a bunch of surface rust and corrosion on them because the lube never was applied.

3. Tell him that you know that the rusty shaft and clutch hub cause the clutch to not release on time and drag.

4. Tell him that you know that clutch drag causes your syncros to remain loaded with engine torque and that is why your gears grind inbetween shifts.

5. Tell him that you know the transmission input shaft splines have been revised to be a little wider and broached smoother so it will release on time from the clutch hub.

6. Tell him that you know the clutch hub has been revised to be made out of nickle to prevent the clutch hub from rusting.

7. Tell him that you know your flywheel is made out of nodular iron and it does not dissapate the heat very well so it has warped on you and is toasting your clutch and causing your car to have clutch chatter.

8. Tell him that you know the new flywheel is made out of 4100 series steel and is much thicker to take care of the heat dissapation and warpage problem.

If that does not work.....go to a different dealer.

Thx rob wes reccommended I get with you before going there you just saved me sending you a pm... Thank you.... Met with Bill (former SVT) at Wes shop and he got in my car and determined yup I have clutch drag issue... He said mine was not as bad as allot of others but still said it's there ... Hisses slightly when pushing the clutch in ... Thx again

I learned everything from Bill. He's the man. I'm just passing on what I have learned from him. Great guy too !!

Awesome guy!!!! He also advised not to worry about the ticking noise thingy I was hearing from time to time... Listening to him I learned allot...he showed to go to the dealer slowly push in the clutch and let hear the hiss and chatter when depressed all the way in... To the dealer Tuesday... Now I am friends with the owner but I don't want to have to call him but that will be my trump card

well I am at the dealer...service manager came over I showed him the tsb he said yeah we know all about that... Did not take the tsb from me.. he said they will check it out and see if that's the problem or basically if the problem even exists so we will see what they say

Hope they will do the TSB for you TJ. Did you take it to Brandon Ford and who is your service advisor?

just picked up my car and they determined it has the issue during test... Ordering parts supposed to advise me when they all come in... Maybe next Monday or Tuesday per the manager... Here's to hoping they get all of my parts in and fix correctly
