Default Detroit Truetrac Differential

Any one running a Detroit Truetrac on their GT500? I'm considering replacing the Traction-Lok limited-slip with one of these when I get the 3.73 gears installed sometime in the near future. That way I can get rid of the howling noise I hear when making sharp low-speed turns. Please share any thoughts and experiences with this differential.

I have this one and like it a lot. I did have to replace it when I snappd my axle at the dragstrip last yr. I crackd the husing but the insides were still functinal. It's very strong and now I have the FRPP girdle too which I should have had before. I wuld upgrade to this at the same time if I were you. You should find them all in the BVM store.

The tru-track is quiet and smooth. I have not had any issues at all with it other than dumping the clutch on slicks at 5K with out the rear being done right.

What weight gear oil are you running with the DTT? The app notes I read for the DTT advised against using synthetic gear oil or any friction modifier, but did not specify a weight.
