I'm just trying to remind myself that when they are done, it will shift like never before (short throw will be a nice feel) and will sound great (with the hpipe installed). I'm also waiting to hear what they want to charge me for installing the slotted/crossdrilled rotors I picked up from a stray dog a little while back.

So stupid question. Say I get mine done, and knowing that I do not have the issue yet, can they tell that once they get it apart?

Also, has anyone who had this done got their car back and the work was done bad or the car drove bad? Meaning, had to go back?

Is there a big difference in feel? or just the piece of mind knowing it is done afterwords?

I'll let you know as soon as I get mine back..........I don't expect that it would feel signficantly different if you weren't having any symptoms whatsoever. But regardless, the flywheel has been well documented to be crap, so there's peace of mind having a much better part in there that will not go bad over time. My symptoms were relatively mild compared to most I've read up on. Getting mine done was more a pre-emptive strike to avoid worsening symptoms. I know JoeG has said that he has noticed a much more pronounced symptoms since his long back and forth to Shelbyfest.

it may be in my mind but I put in royal purple tranny fluid and swear it helped shifting right away. I am still on my stock clutch etc n the Oct. 2006 build and have not had any issues (ther than being stressd and forgetting to push the clutch in DUMBASS). I am knocking on wood as I am over the 12K mark and expect with the miles and mods it wuld be a wrestling match to get a warranty package out of Ford for this even if it is a known issue.

It can be hassle with only 4k miles and no mods!
