Super Snakes Tranny TSB-Here we go...

Figured I would take JT's title and make it my own.
I'm taking my car in this morning to have the TSB 08-16-4 superseded by TSB 09-9-2 Shelby GT500 - CLUTCH DRAG - Built before 9/1/2008 Inspection completed.

I will do my best to keep a good record of this process
My appointment is at 9:30am

I arrived at the dealer at 9:28
the service writer was a bit Typical, kind of a "Hey I know everything about your car" kind of guy. As I explained why I was there he had the default answer "Normal wear and tear" "Normal wear and tear" "Normal wear and tear"
The Service Manager came out to greet me, he was very nice and asked the SW to get me checked in, get me a loaner car and get my car inspected.
I spoke with the SM, he asked me about the car and what the symptoms were

Notchy shifting
hard to gt the car out of 1st and reverse
gring 3rd
chatter

I left my car
I hope to hear from them this afternoon

I am not sure about anyone else, but to tell me "normal wear and tear' for the things you described with under 6700 miles is an insult at the very least. What kind of nonsense is that? Thank goodness he has a manager.

You should have asked the service writer (in a very matter of fact voice) if it's always his policy to make asinine comments and evaluations on technical matters he obviously knows nothing about especially without ever reading the TSB's on the issue first........

Getting ready to update in JT's thread, but got mine back last Friday after a two week wait. Car was dirty, but asked them NOT to detail it. Picked it up, got stuck in a rain storm (once in a blue moon in Vegas) and all seems ok so far. Took me 5 hours to detail over weekend... more to come. GOOD LUCK

I received a call from my Service Writer, the one who was a bit of a Richard this morning.
Without going into a long dissertation Ford is going to do the TSB 09-09-2 on my car!

To make a long story barable he went into telling me all the symptoms I explained this morning were normal wear and tear on the car Blah Blah Blah.
He then went on to tell me that Atvantage Ford of Stuart Florida was going to comply with the TSB on my car. Stating that it was difficult to get the car out of 3rd gear a couple of times.

I get to keep this BAD A$$ Nissan Ultima they gave me to drive.

He said the parts will be in tomorrow and I should have the car back Wednesday.

I told him I wanted to see all the old parts as well.

More to follow...I have something important to say!!!!
