Some folks have already received their Shelby 6-speed shifters so they ae shipping now; I would have to assume the handle is available too.

I don't think the wait is that long for the shifter but for another $4000, CS will initial the shifter and throw in a set of floor mats.

In the Feb MMFF issue the staff thought the "Shelby shifter handle was too short for their liking".

I think the Shelby shifter is a fine product and I have read nothing but good things about it. I just don't like the handle that comes with it.

If I had the Shelby shifter, I would install the Ford Racing handle on it instead.

I attempted to squelch the shifter handle noise by installing a piece of rubber bicycle innertube material betwen the handle and the shifter stub. The noise is still present, but now I hear it while in different gears. Before the noise was most predominate in 4th, 5th and 6th gear. Now I hear it more in 2nd, 5th and 6th gear. Oh well - I am just going to leave it as is.

yes..steeda. grabberpony makes an adapter for the KR shifters.

I don't believe the Hurst handle will fit the FR shifter.

it wont, but grabberpony makes an adapter to fit their ball on the KR, since threads are diff.

The Grabberpony adapters are used to elegantly install their ball knobs to the stock shifter handle. The adapter has a ring for the boot collar to attach to. If you install the Ford Racing handle, you can replace the FR ball knob with a Grabber Pony knob without the need for an adapter; you just need to order the knob with the correct threads.

For those that have them, what is the quality of these Grabberpony knobs, they seem very reasonably priced.

probably right, they've been adj to the market pretty good.
