GT500 iPhone Solution

Like a lot of other family members I use an iPhone.

I wanted a solution that would keep the iPhone within eyeshot and easy reach but did not want to damage the car in anyway with the fitment.
I found combining a cradle from Pro Clips and a hard mount from Panavise was the best. The hard mount from Panavise mounts to the side of the factory head unit but is thin enough to not damage or intrude against the trim around the head unit. I also needed a cradle that would hold the iPhone tightly during spirited driving to fully use my Dynolicious Dynolicious : Automotive Data Logging Tools for Mobile Devices iPhone App which is Datalogging tool that tracks Max G-Forces, Zero to 60 times, Braking Stats and 1/4 mile run times etc. You can also get this tool on your Blackberry which are Canadian and great! Install does require removing the dash which was done by my dealer when they did the Dash Rattle TSB on my car, so they threw this thing on for nothing, which was very nice of them and I showed my appreciation by dropping off all my just read 5.0, Modified Mustangs and Fords and Hot Bike magazines with 4 dozen donuts when I picked up the car.

My wife recently got me the Pro Clip mount for Father's Day. I had told her I wanted to get it. The apps I have are Pocket Dyno, G Force and Rev Lite. I'll check out DynoLicious also!

Nice fitment JT, do you still use yor AUX jack in the console or did you wire up a new one?

Hey Rags:

I use my AUX jack and a last gen iPod Mini that I had customized from the Apple Store free engraving service to match the car. I use a Griffin Case for it, that keeps it secure and inconspicuous in the car tethered to a very short cable.

I also use iTunes a lot to rip my own CDs and with our changers you can roll with hundred of songs on CD. Here are some pics of my iPod set up.
