Default Installed Interior Parts/KR Shifter today

I ordered a few interior dressup items and installed some of them today.
KR Shifter, Door Lock Knobs and Covers, Cup Holder and Shifter trim accents.
The cup holder trim has the FORD logo on it. Seems to give the interior a little kick.

I have to admit, these look good and are not over the top. I am not a fan of alot of these types of things but yours look great. What was the total cost?
Have you noticed that the shifter now sits lower in the console?

Thanks for your compliments !!

*The door locks(Satin) and covers are from the Shelby Parts catalog
*The cup holder trim(w/ Ford Logo) and shifter trim are a Steeda product
*The KR Shifter-Blue Oval Indust.
*Still waiting on the map light trim from Shelby..out of stock until
March 15 or so
*Parts and Accessories for your Ford Mustang - 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 - Moss Mustang Store has all this stuff, plus alot of other stuff
for our cars.

I figured a few accents would make it snap, but too much of
a good thing can trash it up too. So, a balance there is the objective.

Yea....the KR Shifter sits a bit lower than stock, I think its because
the stock knob was a bit on the tall side. The action is short and
precise.

Looks great!...Where is the cup holder trim from?

Any vibration or weird noises from the shifter?

Hey Thanks !!
The cup holder is from Steeda Autosports | Ford Mustang Suspension | Ford Mustang Performance | Ford Mustang Tuning | Ford Mustang Cold Air Intakes . Billet. Just drops
right in place. The shifter trim is steeda also. Nice pieces.
The only problem I'm having is the shifter trim not snapping
back into place squarely and grabbing. The steeda trim piece has
guides on the sides that allows the stock boot to slide into it.
So, I guess with the extra bulk and rigidity of the trim, its impeding
from snapping back in place. It is kinda cold here...about 25, so
when it warms up, maybe I can manipualte it to fit better. May need
a slight bend in it.
KR Shifter--I need to drive it yet to assess the presence of any
vibration/noise. The throw is shorter and crisp

Looks good stallion!

You should be able to push down on the boot grommet slightly to show a little bit more of the handle. Perhaps it won't look as short.

Yea...that would help, I'll need to do that. Just need to get the boot to snap back in place with the shifter trim bezel attached. Its kinda fussy.

...I had some issues that were similar with my MGW billet trim piece....I ended up using a dremel tool to remove some metal off of the bottom of the trim piece (reduced the size of the tabs that hold it onto the boot piece). Now it fits fine........

I bought the Scott Drake trim ring and I had to add a little more 2 way tape to get mine to work.

Thanks for the tip ! I'll try that. It seems as though if there was a
slight bend in the bezel it would follow more of the contour of the console.
It wants to grab, but the adjacent corners want to pop off as pressure is applied.
Shaving the bottom may be the way to go.

No, not at all. Just unscrew the lock knob, screw on the new satin
colored knobs and place the covers over the existing part that is already there(double face tape is alreay applied). Super easy and adds a nice touch.

Does the cupholder completely obscure the trim lighting or can you still see it?

Thanks

If I'm understanding you correctly, are you referring to the ambient lighting around the cup holder ? If so, I cannot answer; I do not have the ambient lighting.

Ambient lighting is pretty cool. Place a bottle of water in the cup holder and see it glow the color of the lights. I don't think it will obscure the light much at all, if anything it might redirect some light back into the cup holder because of the shiney silver surface.

I was thinking that as well. I think it's cool too even though I know it is kinda frivolous. I like it cuz my daughter really enjoys it. Whenever we are riding she likes to choose the color.
