You think it will handle better with less weight?

i'm really hoping to gain some 1/4 mile time with the weight reduction :bangin:

Actually I'm putting sound deadening material in it and putting in some tunes. Some real tunes.

Should be done in a few weeks as he's doing alot of stuff for me and doing it at night and on the weekends.

Yes, as long you use an aluminum milkcrate.

Yea it is a big job. We are putting the sound deadening stuff everywhere and the he's got alot of custom fabrication to do for the speaker enclosure plus the amp rack etc. I wanted really clean sound when driving long distances and means the roads are crap around here it will help alot.

I just couldn't deal with the stock speakers any more. So if your gonna do it, might as well do it right.

Nope. We are going to build the speaker enclosure behind the rear seat so that when you fold it down you will be able to see the 4 8" woofers. From the trunk you will be able to see the backs of the speakers. He's very good at this stuff and I'm sure it will turn out really nice.

Yea it is. I'm just guessing now but in the last week or so I'm estimating he has about 40-50 hours into it and more then likely about another 50 or so to go. Alot of the stuff is custom fabrication and very time consuming stuff. He still has to do the doors today with the sound deadening and speaker install. Or at least that was his plan as of yesterday. It all has to be done by the 10th or 11th of this month.

So in about a week and a half is should be all done

Wow that looks like they are doing a fantastic job. It always seems like a lot of the car stereo places out there have some high school kid throwing in stereos and hacking up dashboards, this place looks like they do some really nice work though.

Thanks. I just got it back today from Ford for the TSB and it's back in the stereo shop. He had pulled the door p[anel off and was sound deadening it when I stopped by on my way home. I gave him my camera so he could take more pictures of it tonight and tomorrow. He said that he hopes to have it done Sunday!

i was only able to drive it about a mile today from Ford and his shop, but I immediately noticed the difference the sound deadening made on the floors, roof and trunk. Huge difference even around town.
